How to prep your garment and mail it in
Our goal for this service is to offer the most convenient, easy way to keep loving your clothes through our mail-in Repair, Refit, ReDye and ReDesign services.

1. Prep your garment:
Use the safety pins provided to indicate every location on your garment that requires attention.
If your garment needs refitting, use the measuring tape provided to tell us your current measurements. Scan the QR Code to enter your measurements and for instructions on how to take accurate measurements. Use safety pins to pin the garment to where you think it should fit.
Completely fill out the Fix My Garment card, including your return shipping address and email. Use the QR code to leave more detailed feedback and/or upload any inspiration images or links that help show how you would like your garment to look.
Fold your garment so it fits in the ziplock bag provided. Include the Fix My Garment card in the bag. Please also return the measuring tape, safety pins, this instruction card and any unwanted stickers so we can reuse them! Seal the ziplock bag and slide it into the original brown paper mailer.
2. Mail in your garment:
Affix the shipping label provided to the outside of the brown paper mailer and seal the pack. If the mailer feels bulky, you can stick the shipping label over the seal to ensure it remains closed.
Drop the pack in your outgoing USPS mail, at your nearest post office or hand it to your friendly USPS mail carrier!
3. Receive your finished garment!
Once we receive your shipment, please allow us up to 14 days to complete the work before mailing your finished garment back to the return shipping address you provided on the Fix My Garment card.
If the work you need requires additional funds, we will email you a click-to-pay invoice. Once payment is received, we will complete the work. If you don’t agree with the additional work required, please respond to that email and we will return your garment. Please scan the QR code for an outline of all expected costs for our most common repairs.

Pricing
What services are included and what will require additional fees?
Repair your garment back to like-new condition.
-
Included (no additional cost) Whether you're missing buttons, a zipper is broken, the elastic is worn out, a hem came loose, there are holes in the seams, or you need patching in areas like knees, elbows, the crotch, or have moth holes, or have knits that are balled up and don't look fresh anymore - this service includes restoring your beloved clothing item back to like-new condition.
-
Additional costs of repair
-
Replacing / repairing linings of jackets +$45.
-
Replacing zippers for jackets, bags or any zippers longer than 10inches +$10

ReDye your garment
-
Included (no additional cost) Camouflaging a stain or discoloration with creative and colorful splashes, splatters, tie-dyes, ombres, fades, etc. Please note: solid-color redyes (one color all-over) typically will show spots and discolorations due to normal wear and tear of worn garments - so we don't recommend doing this. If you still want a solid-colored redye, then you agree to accept that spots and discolorations will likely show on your garment.
-
We use the RitDye Proline to redye most garments because it gives the brightest, truest colors to the widest variety of fabric blends and meets our minimum standards for sustainability. Learn more about RitDye here.
-
Additional costs of redye
-
Any silk or wool garment requires a specialized type of dyeing process +$30
-
Full-length dresses, jackets, cardigans or any other item longer, larger than a typical pair of pants +$20

Limitations and Items we DO NOT service at this time
This service is for your everyday clothes, business casual clothes and going out with friends clothes.
At this time we DO NOT service:
-
shoes,
-
leather or fur products,
-
handbags,
-
wedding dresses, evening gowns,
-
any formal suiting attire, such as tuxedos.
-
If your garment does not fit in the pack provided, then we likely don’t service it at this time.
Limitations:
Patches and Mending
We cannot guarantee exact color/print matching for any threads or patches. All patches will be Visible Mending - meaning that you will most likely be able to see the mending work.
Reweaving - we do not offer reweaving or reknitting services at this time. We can still repair the hole in your woven or knit garment, but the mending will be visible.
ReDyeing - Solid-color redyes (one color all over) typically will show spots and discolorations that are permanent due to normal wear and tear of the garment. For this reason, we do not recommend solid color redyes, unless your garment is new or rarely worn. Instead, our method is to camouflage the stain or discoloration with colorful patterns such as tie-dye, splatters, ombres, fades and color changes.
We don’t recommend dyeing fabrics with Spandex as the heat required degrades the spandex material.
Nylons, synthetic mesh/crepe/chiffon, shiny materials will not dye.
Refitting and Alterations
Sizing UP a garment. Making a garment larger is more complex than making a garment smaller. If we need to add fabric to meet your new measurements, we cannot guarantee exact color / print matching. The fabric additions will be visible, but we will ensure that the end result will match the overall look and character of the garment.
