Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Position Description: Get the word out and engage! Create and implement strategies to grow our social media and newsletter audiences. Manage internship team to create and publish content for social media campaigns, blog and newsletters. Outreach to fashion and climate press and media. Book speaking engagements and participation on industry panel discussions for CEO (and CMO!). Create strategic partnerships for cross-promotional opportunities. Create, implement and manage our overall marketing strategies for growing our audience.
Ideal Candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial work ethic who desires to be a key player on a small team that helps take us all the way through equity funding and IPO status, (you can see our Investor Pitch Deck here). You understand that compensation may be small at first and you're excited to be a KEY reason for our revenue growth. You're a marketing extraordinaire and are keen on new and experimental methods for increasing audience and engagement. You are a natural leader and once you have a grasp of our key messaging and our goals, you'll be able to take the reins and own our marketing challenges and successes.
Work Environment: We are a small team (CEO, plus on-call CTO, plus internship team), so we've built the ship, but we need the CMO to help make us fly. We're based on Los Angeles, and it'd be great if you are too, but we'll hire the right candidate no matter where you live. This position is remote-based and hours/schedule are flexible as long as tasks are checked off and KPIs are being met (and hopefully exceeded). Plan for several zoom calls/meetings per week and to work the rest of the time independently.
Compensation: Equity stake plus share of monthly global commission from sales.
Time Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week
